- Dambu

Kuli-kuli is made from roasted peanuts/groundnuts which are grounded to a semi-paste and then mixed with select spices and then deep fried until it hardens. It could be eaten alone or with a mixture of garri, sugar and water.

Masa or Waina is another northern Nigerian staple similar to a pan-fried rice cake, it is made from a type of rice called sinasir which is extremely white in color and soaks up water when soaked.
